Is Formal Playbook professional advice?

No. Our guides and tools give general information about planning and attending fraternity formals. They aren't legal, insurance, financial or safety advice for your situation. Rules differ by national organization, campus, venue, city and state. Your chapter's national headquarters policy and the law always come first, so check them with your risk manager, advisor or national headquarters before you act.

Are the tools' results guaranteed?

No. The cost calculator and planning timeline produce estimates from the numbers and dates you enter, and the timeline's lead times are editorial recommendations. They aren't quotes, contracts or deadlines. Your vendors' contracts set the real prices and dates.

Do we check the sites we link to?

We link to primary sources and official organizations, and we verify that each source supports the fact we cite when we publish. We don't control those sites, and their content can change. A link isn't an endorsement of everything on the linked site.

Can you use our content?

The guides, tools, design and text on this site belong to Formal Playbook. You're welcome to share links to any page and to quote short passages with a link back to the page you quoted. Please don't republish whole guides or present our work as your own.
